How I Work

How and when do I pay?

Before I can start work, payment for any services described on this site is in full, upfront. Payment can be made in any of the following ways:

1) PayPal - money sent to peter@​titletailor.com

2) Credit cards (Visa, MC, Amex) taken over the phone. Email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it if you want to go this route, then call me at 770.438.7200.

3) Money order or cashier’s check made out to Fanove Publishing, and mailed to:

Once you have my payment, what else do you need to begin?

For book titling/subtitling and/or back cover copy writing, please provide the following (ideally in one Word file):

• Working title (if you have one)
• Table of Contents
• Introduction and first chapter
• Book synopsis (half-page description of the book, including objective, the issue/challenge the book addresses, audiences, promise of the book, etc.)

What happens next?

Once I’ve received your payment and above documents, and have had a chance to review your materials, I’ll be in touch by email to set up a time to talk for 20-30 minutes. During that call, we’ll get clear on the parameters, ensure I understand the objective of your book and address any questions you may have.

At that point, I’ll head off to my garret, start the creative process (wave my magic wand, etc.), and typically, in about two weeks, I’ll be back with the results.

What do I receive?

I’m committed to delivering five distinct titles, and three subtitles, but in my experience, I always end up serving up many more than that. Why? Since ideas come in many forms, I’m not comfortable deciding what will resonate with someone and what won’t. I'll let you be the ultimate judge.

Rest assured, I’m not playing the “throw-enough-mud-against-the-wall-and-some-is-bound-to-stick” game. Everything I provide I will have deemed worthy of your consideration.

What if I don’t like what you come up with?

I’ve been fortunate (or maybe I’m just pretty decent at this) that I’ve not yet had a client who wasn’t satisfied with my work (it’s rare to even have to go beyond the first round). Obviously, my goal is to have you walk away delighted, and I’ll do what it takes to make that happen.
